A unique Vintage jade pendant necklace! This lovely piece, which is of Chinese origin, displays a vibrant jade pendant which is carved into the shape of a peapod, a sign of wealth and fertility. The jade has marvelous natural coloring in shades of bright green with milky accents and five rivet set ruby cabochons adorn the pod surface, displaying rich pink hues. The reverse side of the peapod reveals a sterling silver backing and the pendant is attached to a 14kt yellow gold bail which hangs from a black silk cord necklace. The necklace can be easily slipped on and off overhead comfortably, but it does secure with a matching spring ring clasp stamped "585".?Perfect for the jade collector, it would make a stylish everyday accessory!
Measurements:?The length of the cord measures approximately 27" long. The carved jade peapod pendant, including the bail, hangs 2" long and measures 1/2" wide. The ruby cabochons measure about 2.5mm in diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant and cord is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the jade pendant, the rubies, or the?silk cord necklace. The gold findings and bail are secure and in good condition.
